WORKS
PRIVATERESIDENCES
Ukiya
The flagpole land faces the river to the south.
Because there is a promenade along the river and a lot of pedestrian traffic, it is necessary to ensure privacy.
By making the living room on the second floor, privacy is easily secured. In addition, a blind wall is built on the south side to block the line of sight from the housing complex on the opposite side, and a roof balcony is built inside the wall.
This device allows sufficient light to enter the house while protecting privacy.
The living room is an atrium space, which gives a sense of spaciousness despite its limited size.
The family consists of a couple and two children.
Since the couple both work and expect to work remotely, two study spaces are located on the first floor.
The pole-like section facing the street is designed as a promenade, allowing the residents to feel nature in their daily lives.
